It's that time of year again . . .

. . . tis the season to be jolly or, hopefully, it soon will be. What better way can there be to help you get into that certain festive mood than to listen to some traditional olde-worlde Yuletide music? Other mood-enhancing aids are available but just in case music is your thing – read on. Published a whole year sooner than planned “Mulled Wine & Mistletoe”is a collaboration album between my good friend and choral arranger supremo Noel Bannister and yours truly (wearing my Wychazel Christmas hat). The album features a collection of 17 traditional carols, some going back to the Tudor era. Some you will know, others you may not have heard or maybe you might know them by different names? The album has been produced using sampled instruments of the kind you would have heard around the 1500's plus a few modern additions. So. If Crumhorns, Fidule and Recorders are your thing or you simply have a festive urge to listen to something different, this album could be the perfect accompaniment to your mince-pies and beverage of choice.
